About the Event

Aaron Palmieri is the Outreach & Education Manager for the Palmetto Bluff Conservancy.

Aaron began at the Palmetto Bluff Conservancy in 2012 as an intern monitoring bald eagle nests near active development at the Bluff.  During his time as an intern, he began assisting with land and wildlife management and co-leading and eventually leading nature outings.  After going out and earning his degree in Fisheries & Wildlife Sciences from Oregon State University, he returned to the Lowcountry and Palmetto Bluff and became the Educator for the Conservancy team.  His passion is in bird life, which in turn has bled into a passion for native plants and insects.

We will start with a PowerPoint presentation discussing the different raptor species we have in this area during the winter.  We will then load up in the Conservancy’s Tour truck and drive to some prime areas for raptor activity at Palmetto Bluff.
