About the Event
This program is hosted by Fripp Island Golf & Beach Resort's Head Naturalist and fellow Lowcountry Master Naturalist Colleen Goff. Colleen has been working with alligators in South Carolina and Georgia for 10 years, has caught too many alligators to count, and specializes in human-alligator interactions in urban coastal communities. She will take participants around Fripp Island to learn about general alligator ecology and behavior, current research projects, and to observe alligators in different life stages.
There is a fee of $5/person to be paid upon arrival at the Fripp Island Nature Center.
Participants should be ready to do some light walking on flat terrain. Comfortable closed toed shoes and pants should be worn. It is recommended participants wear a hat, glasses, and bring a water bottle and binoculars. Bathrooms will be available during this program.
Fripp Island is a gated community with a posted speed limit of 25 miles…
