About the Event
Come meet staff from the ACE Basin National Estuarine Research Reserve to learn how we study, protect, and teach about the Ashepoo, Combahee, and Edisto Rivers. After watching two short recordings, this live presentation will allow for questions. Then we will explore our planet plankton through a virtual field trip! Did you know that phytoplankton is responsible for producing more than 60% of the oxygen in the air we breathe? In this activity, you will virtually observe and identify phytoplankton and zooplankton. We will discuss how plankton abundance changes over the year and with changing climate conditions, and what that means for our estuaries and communities.
If you plan to attend, please RSVP through the LCMNA site. That way you will receive a reminder email with the link to join the meeting 1 hour before it begins.
