Oldfield Excursion

Come experience nature at Oldfield with Leanna McMillan, the staff naturalist and Outfitters Center assistant director. We will start up front at the Community Garden to learn about Oldfield's designation as an Audubon Sustainable Community, tour and learn about the garden, and then head to the Outfitters Center. At the Outfitters Center we will tour the Nature Center then take a bird walk on our leisure trail along the Okatie River. 

Bring water, comfortable walking shoes, and binoculars. Dress for the weather!  

Leanna is a fellow Master Naturalist who was born and raised in South Carolina and graduated from Coastal Carolina University. Before becoming the staff naturalist at Oldfield, Leanna spent time as a park ranger with the South Carolina State Park Service and an education specialist with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. In her free time she enjoys hiking, camping, and boating.
