Our presenter will be Juliana Smith , Naturalist and Project Coordinator for Spring Island Trust and co-teacher for the Low Country Master Naturalist Program. Juliana received both her B.S. and M.Ed. from the College of Charleston.

Juliana will present, “Botanical Biographies – Stories from our Native Plants.”

Are you looking to add a little danger, romance, and mystery to your life?? Then look no further than our native plants! Join us for an hour of botanical intrigue as we peek between the petals to learn about the strategies native plants employ to ensure the success of their future generations! As we explore their world, we will learn about the unique anatomy of several of our native plants and how different forms prioritize different pollinators. After this talk, you will never look at your native plant garden the same way again!
