About the Event

If you have attended an LCMNA field trip in the last two months, please wait one week before registering to give other LCMNA members a chance to register. We thank you in advance for your kind cooperation.

Join Captain Amber Kuehn, local marine biologist, owner of Spartina Charters, and manager of the Hilton Head Island’s sea turtle patrol, for a boat ride through the waterways of the Lowcountry to learn about this incredible and critical ecosystem. Who knows what wonderful nature revelations you may bump into on this two-hour jaunt!

The cost to attend the trip is $40.00 per person. Payment can be made in check or cash to Amber on the day of the trip. If paying with a check, please make it out to Spartina Charters. Meet Captain Kuehn on the boat at the Calhoun Street Dock at 10:00 am.

Please bring water, sun-shade items (sunglasses, hat, long sleeves, etc), and payment with you on the trip. The boat does have a canopy to help protect you from the sun. The boat does NOT have a bathroom, so make sure to go before you leave the dock!

This trip is weather dependent. We will be in touch ahead of time to alert folks of any weather cancellations. This trip will not be rescheduled in the event of weather.
